Feeling passionate about food? Become a Love Food Hate Waste Champion

We are calling on people to join our network of volunteers who can help their friends, family and community make their household budgets go further by cutting down on the amount of food they throw away.

As a Love Food Hate Waste Champion you will receive one days training which will provide you with all the information and top tips you will need to help others make small practical changes to reduce their food waste, save money & make the most of the food that they buy.

Anyone over the age 18 can join the volunteer scheme and take part in the training. Our next training course will take part on Saturday 10 June 2017 at the Nightingale Centre in Framingham Earl.

Please get in touch if you are interested in becoming a Love Food Hate Waste Champion. Email lovefoodhatewaste@norfolk.gov.uk or call us on 0344 800 8020.

You can also find some further information on our website on our Love Food Hate Waste volunteering page.

Here is what Esme said about becoming a Love Food Hate Waste Champions:

“The training day was a very social event where I really got inspired by like-minded people and learnt a lot of new tips. I find it really easy to pass on the message as you can do this in any way you like – I quite enjoy chatting to friends about it and have attended some events. I would highly recommend becoming a volunteer.”
